- Add stops: Rarely, a route will have only one destination. You may have to pick someone up on the road, buy something, or go to someone else’s house before reaching your destination. And, instead of having to calculate each route separately, Google Maps allows you to add words on your route.

1. Open Google Maps on your mobile device.
2. Type your destination and touch the option “how to arrive”.
3. Touch the three dots on the upper right corner, and select “add stop.”

Google Maps allows you to add up to 9 stops in a single route. If you want to change the order of the stops, keep it pressed, and drag it to reorganize it.

 - Avoid tolls and highways: besides adding stops, you could also ask Google Maps to calculate a route towards your destination that doesn’t include tolls nor highways.

1. Open Google Maps on your mobile device.
2. Type your destination and touch the option “how to reach.”
3. Touch the three dots on the upper right corner of the screen, and select “route options.”
4. Avoid “avoid tolls” or “avoid highways.”

 - Save a route: If you don’t have enough data on your mobile device or, if you’re worried that you may end up without signal along the ride, you can look up the route whenever you get internet connection, and then save it for whenever you end up without a connection. Keep in mind that the route will only be stored on the device where you saved it.

1. Open Google Maps on your mobile device.
2. Type your destination, and touch the “how to arrive” option.
3. Choose your means of transportation on the upper part. Keep in mind that the option to store routes without a connection for public transportation is only allowed for some countries.
4. Touch the lower bar where you can see the time and the length of the route and touch the option “Save without a connection.”
5. To open a route while you aren’t connected to the internet, open the app and, in the lower part, touch “Saved Route Without Connection”.

 - Share your route:

1. Open Google Maps on your mobile device.
2. Type your destination, and touch the “how to arrive” option.
3. Touch the three dots on the upper right corner, and select “share instruction.”
4. Choose the app that you want to use for sharing your app.
